A big part of what I want to achieve with All Of Me Sensory is to give parents and carers the opportunity to provide developmentally appropriate sensory experiences for their babies and young children.
There are lots of ways I am hoping to do this – to enable parents and carers to have the confidence, inspiration, motivation, expertise, knowledge, tools and resources to have a go!
I facilitate workshops in Co.Down, NI. In a beautiful venue that is accessible to all, is perfectly sized to allow small groups to interact and engage with the resources.
There are 2 types of workshops
Stay and Play Workshops – where parents and carers come along with their children and, well, play!
The workshops are themed and offer a range of sensory experiences, usually a mix of messy and dry resources with a permanent soft area for adults and children to relax and engage in other stimulating resources. The workshops are offered to mixed ages and abilities including 0-3yrs, 3-7yrs (including family sessions) and SEN (siblings welcome). Click here for dates and times of Stay and Play Workshops
Make and Take Workshops – where adults come along and make their own sensory resources to use with/ for children.
The workshops will have planned activities or be booked according to your needs. Excellent for a group of early years students. How about a group of parents who want to grab a coffee and chat together while learning a new skill and going home with a lovely resource at the end! Short on time? No problem – workshops can be short and sweet depending on what we are going to make together! Click here for details Make and Take Workshops.
I offer an ever increasing range of sensory resources that can be used at home or on the go to provide developmentally appropriate sensory stimulating activities – including lights, instruments, treasure basket resources. These are available to purchase at workshops or online. Click here for Resources.
Maybe you are unable to attend workshops, or you have a special occasion and want to celebrate in a special way – why not book a sensory party for a unique and memorable experience. Book your event in All Of Me Sensory venue in Newcastle or in an alternative suitable location. Click here for Parties and Events and Summer Schemes!
4 – STAFF TRAINING
Sensory Experiences are vitally important to child development and can and should be incorporated seamlessly into your settings curriculum and planning. I can offer training to staff, that can be tailored specifically to your settings needs – whether it is to support young or new staff, or give more experienced staff a boost of ideas, inspiration and new skills. 5 – CONSULTATION
I can offer bespoke consultations in your early years setting or your home. Advice on how to utilise the space and resources you have to facilitate better sensory experience in your early years setting or even your home, also advice and guidance on how to source your own materials. In early years settings this can help inform curriculum planning, development plans or when completing application forms for funding. Click here for Consultancy.
